The
center of the old town (Altstadt) of Wiesbaden is the Schloss Platz
(Palace Square). This name was given to it in 1900 and it marks the
entrance to the shopping area of Wiesbaden.
The Marktbrunnen was built in the 16th century. It was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War and was restored at a later date. It was redesigned in 1753 by Johannes Bager. |
