photo- Old Town Hall The Alte Rathaus is the oldest building in Wiesbaden.  It was built in 1610.  It is located on the Market Square.  It was used as the town hall.  Today it is used as an office for storing records.  Many civil weddings are held here during the week, especially on Fridays.  People then have their church wedding at another time.

There is a Keller (wine cellar) under the Rathaus. People gather there in the evening for fun times and enjoy the food and wine served there.
