Continuous School Progress
The first
step in continuous school progress is for the staff to develop a Mission
Statement. The idea behind the Mission Statement to to express, in words,
our staff's feelings and beliefs regarding the education of Hainerberg's
children. Our Mission Statement for our current Improvement Plan is as
follows:
The mission of Hainerberg Elementary School is to provide exemplary educational programs that inspire and prepare all students for success in a global environment.
Once
our Mission Statement is clearly defined, our staff develops the School
Improvement Plan. Along with our plan statement, we've included three interventions,
or approaches, that we feel will effectively help our students meet this
goal. We judge how well our students are progressing on our goal through
the standardized tests that we give ever year as well as classroom tests
and observations that we make constantly. Our Staff Development Days, or
teacher In-Service Days, are often devoted to educating our teachers on
new approaches to help our students effectively achieve the goals that
we've set for them.
