The Learning Impaired program assists students functioning below grade level in reading, math, and graphic- chalkboard with letterswriting skills.  To help improve student achievement, the teacher must write  Individual Education Plans to specify how achievement of the goals will advance the students in the direction of improved learning.  Achieving goals involves:  eliminating, modifying, or compensating for factors contributing to the reading/language problems.

  • Individual student goals are written in measurable and observable terms with descriptions of evaluation techniques, and frequency of student progress to parents.
  • Lesson plans are written weekly with several  materials listed, audio-visual equipment, and games to enhance students achievement.
  • To positively impact educational change, classroom management tedchniques includes small group and individualized instruction with heavy emphasis on positive reinforcement as well as tangible reward to promote good self esteem, and decrease behavioral problems.
