What Does a Kindergarten Child Look Like?
Kindergarten-age children are:
  • active, curious, and eager to learn
  • increasingly cooperative and able to develop close friendships
  • proud to take responsibility for themselves as they learn to tie their shoes, put things away, and control their behavior
  • eager to please people who matter to them
  • interested in how they can use words and ideas\curious about nature and how things work
  • able to learn best by touching real objects- blocks, paints, puzzles, animals
  • able, by moving around a lot, to plan and to discuss projects with each other
