The Spanish Club meets on Mondays from 2:45  to  4:00 p.m.  Applications are currently no longer being accepted as this club has already filled up.

Here are the objectives of my club:

• To provide an enjoyable environment for speaking the target language.

• To appreciate the Spanish language through conversational, arts and music, and other creative activities.

• To expand literacy by improving vocabulary through short stories (reading, listening, speaking, and writing).

• To develop students' leadership skills through group activities.

• To build confidence by taking part in simple dramitas and singing (group or solo).

• To expand their knowledge of the Spanish speaking countries through study of culture, history, and geography.

We plan to sing Christmas carols (canciones de Navidad) in Spanish in selected classrooms on the last day before the winter vacation; celebrate cinco de mayo through fiesta (party) and prepare for the Hispanic Heritage month or activity/program (for those who will be around next year will take part on some acts) that will, hopefully, happen next year.
